Milestones

VEGA Grieshaber KG recently welcomed many of its customers to the VEGA Customer Event, which took place from November 5th to 7th, 2007. The successful event, entitled "Milestones", was completely dominated by new technologies.

About 250 customers from Germany and Austria took up the invitation to come to the Black Forest and learn more about the topics "Radar for bulk solids", "Wireless signal transmission with PLICSRADIO" and "Vibration limit switches for bulk solids". The in-house exhibition also provided the opportunity to experience VEGA measurement technology live.

As prelude to the event, VEGA opened its gates in Schiltach and in the course of a plant tour gave detailed insight into the company, in which 500 employees produce high-tech solutions for measuring filling level, limit level and pressure. "The plant tour reflects the overall impression you get of the company: orderly, highly structured and very friendly", remarked Stefan Hörmann of Technical Services Gersthofen GmbH.

From Schiltach the visitors went on to Hotel Colosseo in Europapark, in Rust. An exclusive evening event there offered the opportunity to get acquainted and exchange experiences in the festive ambiance of the hotel.

On the following day, VEGA presented the Milestones 2007 and invited all to see the exclusive in-house exhibition. With its VEGAPULS 68 sensors, VEGA laid already in 2004 the foundation for implementing radar sensors in bulk solids. Together with VEGAPULS 67, the radar sensor for standard measuring tasks in bulk solids, and the vibration limit switches VEGAVIB and VEGAWAVE, VEGAPULS 68 represents the most optimal bulk solids measurement technology available today. For wireless transmission of measurement signals over distances up to 1600 m, VEGA offers a well-rounded, flexible solution in the form of PLICSRADIO.

At the conclusion of the event, Dr. med. Bernd Ditter carried off the participants to the world of communication. His exciting discourse gave an entertaining introduction to language, body language and rhetoric.

Freddy Vollmer, sales manager south, rated the customer event a complete success.
