From now on a new antenna cover made of PTFE is available, which is particularly suitable for applications with strong buildup or condensation on the horn antenna, where no purging air connection can be utilised.
This version has the advantage that the inner part of the antenna is reliably protected against humidity and condensation. The sealings on the plastic cover and the horn antenna flange prevent penetration of liquid or humidity up to a temperature of +130 °C.
A contact ring between horn antenna and antenna cover prevents electrostatic charge, which enables the use of these antennas also for Ex approved instruments.
