Reactor vessels
Fluctuating product properties as well as varying temperatures and pressures are often experienced in reactor vessels of multiproduct plants. Depending on the properties of the raw materials and mixed products, the vessels are made from Hastelloy, stainless steel or are enamelled. The vessel sizes vary, according to product volume typically between 0.2 and 16 m 3 . Specific process components such as stirrers, reaction and distillation vessels or driers and centrifuges are assembled individually for particular reaction processes.
Level measurement with VEGAPULS 63
For this application, the non-contact measuring principle of radar is best suited. The level is measured reliably and precisely because the sensor is not influenced by process conditions such as vacuum, gauge pressure or temperature. The antenna and the sealing face consist of highly resistant PTFE, therefore making it suitable for use in multi product plants.

Measuring process pressure with VEGABAR 61
The pressure transducer VEGABAR 61 is particularly suitable for the reliable measurement of process pressure. High overload and vacuum resistance as well as temperature resistance of up to 400°C (752°F) guarantee a reliable level measurement. Specifically adapted diaphragm and flange materials are corrosion resistant, even in aggressive products.
Level detection with VEGASWING 61
An important component in the safety chain of any pharmaceutical plant is not only the continuous level detection, but also point level detection. The VEGASWING 61 vibrating level switch is multifaceted, including being unaffected by viscosity, making it the ideal solution for level detection in liquids. With the aid of a temperature adapter, it withstands temperatures of up to 200°C (392°F). An enamelled version is available which protects the switch from aggressive products.
