Pressure and flow measurement in gas pipelines
Depending on the pipeline network, the gas pressure is between 26 and 60 mbar. Particularly due to the small measuring range, the pressure transmitter must be able to deliver reliable and reproducible results. Pressure transmitters used on gas mains, as well as level sensors used on gasometers, are subject to approvals and regulations for hazardous areas (e.g. ATEX).
Gas pressure measurement with VEGABAR 52
The ceramic CERTEC measuring cell of the VEGABAR 52 ensures accuracy and reliability for even the smallest measuring range. The ceramic measuring cell is renown for its longevity and hysteresis-free operation. The instrument provides an intrinsically safe output signal and is certified to ATEX EEx ia IIC T6.
Gas volume measurement using VEGADIF 55
Using a flow control device (an orifice plate or a venturi for example) and a differential pressure transmitter, the gas flow extracted from the fermentation tower is measured. The differential pressure either side of the flow control determines the flow volume. As this differential pressure is so low, it must be detected extremely accurately. The VEGADIF 55 ensures reliable and accurate detection of differential pressure.
