Chemicals are essential
Throughout the waste water treatment process, chemicals are involved – especially during the precipitating process, where phosphates and nitrates are settled and separated. For the treatment and neutralisation of digested sludge, limewater, ferric chloride, acid and alkaline are stored on site. As these products are subject to regulation as water polluting substances, overfill protection devices should be mounted on their storage facilities.

Level measurement using VEGAPULS 61
The radar measuring principle is particularly suitable for continuous level measurement of toxic and corrosive substances. The measurement is non-contacting, i.e. there is no direct contact with the medium. With its encapsulated antenna, the VEGAPULS 61 radar sensor is ideal for this application.

Overfill protection using VEGASWING 63
The VEGASWING 63 is a hugely important device for the overfill protection of vessels containing environmentally toxic or hazardous substances. Due to its fail-safe design, universal nature, and its availability in Hastelloy, 316L, plastic coated or enamelled, the vibrating level switch is particularly suitable for water polluting substances.
