Rain following sunshine
When periods of prolonged or sudden rainfall occur, “storm water” or rainwater overflow chambers and basins prevent the overloading of the sewage network or sewage treatment plant. The duration and distribution of the overflow in these basins is monitored and recorded. These figures are used for capacity calculation and control for the sewage network. As these chambers and basins are often situated remotely from the sewage treatment plant, a maintenance-free measurement device is of paramount importance.
Level measurement using VEGAWELL 52
There are two major factors influencing the selection of a sensor for recording and monitoring of “storm water” or rainwater overflow chambers and basins: a high degree of accuracy and operational reliability, combined with minimal maintenance. The VEGAWELL 52 suspended hydrostatic pressure transmitter fulfils these requirements. Even in the event of severe contamination, or after periods of drought, a self-cleaning process is carried out as soon as the cell is submersed in liquid, because of the completely flush mounting of the ceramic sensor diaphragm.
