Stone crushers in the quarry
At the beginning is the massive bedrock. Through blasting, moveable chunks of rock are extracted from the solid mass. To process the rock into the basic building materials like gravel, grit or sand, additional work is required. The big stones must be crushed into different grain sizes by jaw and roller crushers. To keep the wear and tear on the crusher as low as possible, overfilling must be reliably prevented.

Continuous level monitoring in the stone crusher with VEGAPULS 67
Mounted over the crusher, the radar sensor VEGAPULS 67 keeps everything in view. Uninfluenced by wind, weather, abrasion and, above all, by the intense generation of dust, it continuously keeps watch over the filling level in the crusher. The tremendous noise in the crusher, which can paralyse an ultrasonic sensor, doesn‘t bother the contactless instrument. This permits the uninterrupted measurement needed to keep the level in the ideal range. Minimum wear and optimal production throughput are the result.

VEGACAP 65 protects reliably against overfilling
The capacitive level switch VEGACAP 65 is insensitive to impacts from rocks. Its flexible, robust and solid construction is the prerequisite for use as overfill protection in the crusher. Neither dust nor build-up can affect the reliability of VEGACAP 65.
