Level switch families VEGAVIB and VEGAWAVE

Overview level switch VEGAWAVE 61, 62 and 63
From October, the rod and fork level switch families are distinguished by different names.
The level switch rod version is called VEGAVIB and the tuning fork version VEGAWAVE.

As a reliable level detection system in bulk solids, VEGAVIB and VEGAWAVE sensors are the ideal complement to the continuously measuring sensors of the VEGAPULS and VEGAFLEX series.

The vibrating rod and the tuning fork demonstrate their individual strengths depending on the bulk solids application. The following table gives you a quick overview of the respective advantages.

 VEGAVIB  VEGAWAVE
No jamming from coarse-grained products Very robust due to small projected area  when laterally (hor.) mounted
(must however be properly oriented)
Rotation-symmetrical and therefore easy to clean
(also FDA classified < 0.8 µm)
Insensitive to buildup
(if both tines are equally covered)
No orientation necessary when laterally (hor.) mounted Low price
Recommended for detection of bulk solids in water Applicable with product density from 8 g/l
(vibrating rod from 20 g/l)
