Manifold – interface for hose connections on board
|
|
Protection on-board and dock equipment
Monitoring the pipeline pressures at the manifold ensures the safety of on-board and dock equipment, and provides the basis for pump control. If pump output is too high or if valves remain closed during charging and discharging processes, gauge or low pressure in the product pipelines can result. This can damage the manifold or the storage tanks. On-site pressure indication provides additional security for processes involving the manifold.

Pressure monitoring during charging and discharging procedure with VEGABAR 64
The hydraulic submersible pumps convey different products from the storage tanks with pressures up to 16 bar (1600 kPa). VEGABAR 64 with its front-flush ceramic diaphragm is particularly suitable for monitoring the pressure in the product pipeline. The ceramic-capacitive CERTEC ® measuring cell is not affected by abrasive or corrosive products and can be easily cleaned. The indication and adjustment module PLICSCOM in the cover indicates the existing pressure on site.

VEGABAR 53 – control pressure for submersible pumps
The hydraulic submersible pumps are operated with an on-board pressure between 160 and 250 bar (16000 to 25000 kPa). VEGABAR 53 is used to regulate the output of these hydraulic pumps. The rugged DMS measuring cell in the sensor can withstand a hydraulic pressure up to 400 bar (40000 kPa).
