Rheinkalk sites Flandersbach and Hönnethal, Germany, tests radar sensors for level measurement of bulk solids |
|
In limestone processing and in the production of lime products, heavy demands are placed on the implemented measuring techniques. In the past, mechanical sensors or contactless ultrasonic devices were generally used. But compromises had to be made: mechanical sensors require high maintenance effort, ultrasonic sensors often reach their physical limits with applications in limestone silos. At Rheinkalk GmbH, new radar sensors were tested as an alternative in various applications. From setup and commissioning to reliable level measurement, the test findings are without exception positive.
