VEGA Grieshaber KG is a world-leading supplier of level, switching and pressure instrumentation. On its journey to achieve this strong position, the company always had one basic objective: the development of innovative, trend-setting products. Established in 1959 in the Black Forest, VEGA today employs 850 people world-wide, 440 of whom are at the company’s headquarters in Schiltach. There are ten subsidiary companies in Europe, South Africa, Australia and Singapore as well as two associated companies in the United States and China. VEGA is a reliable partner for all industries from both a technical and economical point of view. VEGA sensors work reliably and accurately in very different and challenging applications: e.g. in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, in the food processing industry and in drinking water treatment, in sewage treatment plants and landfills, in mining and in energy generation, on drilling platforms and ships and even in aircraft. In 1997, VEGA introduced the first two-wire radar sensor in the world. Two years later VEGA advanced to international market leader in the area of radar level measurement. And now plics takes center stage: with this new product concept, VEGA is demonstrating how to effectively reduce the time and expense involved in implementing modern measurement technology. The savings apply to the entire life cycle of the measuring instrument: from selection and ordering to installation and set-up, right through to operation and service.
