Scintillation Detector
|
Our scintillation detectors employ an artificial crystal material that produces visible light when exposed to gamma radiation. The amount of light produced is proportional to the level of radiation striking the detector. A photo-multiplier tube mounted above the crystal converts the light signal into a current signal. The detector includes an integral microprocessor based transmitter with in-built linearisation to provide a HART®/4 to 20 mA output proportional to level.
