The GM-17 Gamma detection switch utilizes proven Geiger-Mueller tube technology to provide point level indication in a package less than half the weight of its predecessor. The GM-17 can be used with all standard Ohmart/VEGA Gamma Source Holders.
The GM-17 uses single or multiple Geiger-Mueller tubes to monitor gamma radiation passing through a vessel. When process material in the vessel blocks the gamma radiation, the GM-17 will energize (or de-energize) a relay.

- High and Low point level indication on a wide variety of vessels, bins, and silos
- Plugged chute indication
- The retrofit of older, less sensitive switches without changing Gamma sources
- Independent redundant indication for continuous level detectors without the need
for additional Gamma sources
