Successful PACTware Roadshow

This year's PACTware roadshow started in Cologne (Germany) before moving on to other centers of process automation in Belgium (Antwerp) and the Netherlands (Brielle) at the end of November. More than 150 participants came to learn about and see the benefits of manufacturer-independent device configuration with PACTware, the universal FDT-based operation tool.

For the first time, the new, more practice-oriented concept of the roadshow focused on application examples shown in a comprehensive, multi-vendor demonstration environment, underlined by live demonstrations of practice-related subjects with regard to configuration and diagnosis of field devices - presented in the respective native language. The latest PACTware release 3.5 was presented in a new, user-friendly Look & Feel and with enhanced functionality.
The high interest of the participants was visible in the lively interest and discussions during the event as well as in the constantly well frequented multi-vendor wall and table-top exhibitions of the contributing firms Bopp&Reuther, CodeWrights, ICS, KROHNE, Magnetrol, Pepperl+Fuchs, Samson, Trebing & Himstedt, Turck, Tyco, VEGA and WIKA.
The upcoming year 2008 will certainly see another international PACTware roadshow as well as company-specific PACTware workshops in Germany.
