The tradition-rich Italian vermouth maker Martini & Rossi in Turin, Italian branch of Bacardi-Martini group, places top priority on the constant high quality of its products. To supervise the production of all sorts of fortified wines, modern radar sensors from the VEGAPULS 60 series are used in addition to conventional sensors for hydrostatic level measurement. Uninfluenced by density changes or top pressure in the vessel, these instruments collect level data with high precision. The digital connection of the sensors via Profibus PA allows exact transmission of measurement data to the control system.
