Selling to EPCs is one thing, but what about long-term local support?

VEGA is seen as a convenient and reliable partner of EPCs.
Thanks to its presence all around the globe, VEGA can support EPCs no matter where you are, what time zone you are in and which language you do speak.

Having its commercial offices worldwide made this possible, but the real icing on the cake is the existence of its competent service department locally. As an example, 25% of VEGA Middle East employees are dedicated to the service department, which provides an unbeatable response to the region in return.

FOCUS ON JAZAN REFINERY PROJECT:

As a gigantic refinery, Jazan received packages from almost everywhere. Thus, it is just right to ask ourselves who is capable of doing the job from A to Z.

VEGA was involved in several stages of this complex project.

  • Engineering
  • Procurement
  • Construction
  • Installation
  • Pre-commissioning
  • Commissioning support and performance test

VEGA proudly supplied level and pressure sensors to different EPCs, for different packages. All our sensors, for local and international markets, are being manufactured in its own factories situated in Germany and in USA.

The engineering, as well as technical studies and commercial support, were provided locally in the EPC’s respective country (Italy, Spain, UAE, Singapore, etc..).

Finally, the pre-commissioning, commissioning and performance test were conducted on-site by the local service team of VEGA Middle East.

When it comes to service, we do not need to fly from USA or Europe. We are right here!

All our engineers are based in the region, making it possible to deploy themselves in a snap for the Jazan project.
Indeed, the service team of VEGA Middle East assisted and worked hand in hand with EPCs, as well as with the end users, all through out for more than 300 working days in the Saudi refinery.

Bruno Edouard, VEGA Middle East’s Service Manager, commented: “Despite of the difficult climatic conditions; including sandstorms, extreme temperatures and unpredictable rainstorms; our team of experts has worked in close coordination with various local and international suppliers/EPCs and multi-cultural work teams to supervise the sensors installation, ensure the commissioning as well as witness and validate the performance tests according to the agreed procedures.
The presence of our service team was necessary, as the commissioning activity is a vital step in the completion of this project. Our service reports were used by the EPCs for the hand-over of the plant to the client after all tests are satisfactorily completed.

And this will be the same team who will stay and support the end users over the years; knowledgeable on each and every detail of the installation, background history of the project and its processes.
