Before a reliability manager entered his current role at his company, he was introduced through a VEGA sales representative to myVEGA in his previous role.

After exploring myVEGA and what it had to offer, he developed an internal ordering process where he’d configure the sensors, add them to his cart, get a purchase order, and then submit the order, all through myVEGA. He described how he loved the product configurator, documentation, ease of use, and getting quick access to tracking information.

With myVEGA, he can check the reliable lead times on VEGA’s website and can configure products on his own time. This means myVEGA empowers users with quality information when they need it.

 

School is in session

An engineer and controls tech at a chemical manufacturing facility found a creative way to leverage myVEGA as something more than an online ordering and product configuration system.

He currently uses myVEGA as a self-education tool. He uses the product selection tool, lets it recommend some configurations for him, and then he emails or calls his VEGA seller to confirm details of the application. While he isn’t directly using myVEGA to order sensors, he uses it to select and save specific configurations. This allows him to quickly recall and order the sensors he knows will work in his applications.

As a bonus, he can see who else within his company is ordering similar product configurations in the system, giving him the option to reach out and have conversations with other people ordering for similar applications.

Purposely engineered for his purposes

Unlike the others on this list, a lead instrumentation and controls specialist didn’t find myVEGA through a salesperson. Rather, he discovered it on VEGA’s website and decided to give it a shot.

As someone who was already familiar with instrumentation and configuration, he loves using the product configurator because it’s inherently smart, meaning it will tell you what is and is not compatible and if the configuration can actually be built. Once he finalizes his configuration, he then sends it in for a quote and starts the ordering process from there.

From an engineering perspective, he likes how he can address parameters for specific applications, narrow down his search to a couple of different choices and see what he likes about each, and then how he can go into the configurator to see if he can build it with his specifications in mind. VEGA doesn’t have a “one size fits all” approach, and myVEGA allows him to determine what customizations are needed.

He also likes requesting quotes in myVEGA instead of sending an email or placing a phone call, and he feels that the fast response on reliable quotes and lead times makes him more efficient.
