What brought you to VEGA?
I was drawn to the cross-departmental interaction and the value on open communication and feedback. The emphasis on innovation had me excited to make VEGA part of my co-op experience.
What are your daily tasks at VEGA?
I don’t do the same thing every day here at VEGA. Since I am getting to work on developing a new product line, I have done design work on accessory brackets, compiled research, talked with suppliers, and 3D-printed parts.
What are the special projects that you have worked on or are working on now?
All of the work that I have done with the new product line has been unique and a building experience. As the project becomes more developed, different needs arise.
What is your favorite thing about your school?
All the engineering buildings are connected so you never need to go outside when the weather is unpleasant. Also the Engineering Research Center is shaped like a 4-cylinder engine.
Favorite place to eat on/around campus?
Ninja Grill is the best place to eat right off of campus. Hibachi food with whatever you like in it. I will also eat Mr. Sushi or Drunken Bento seven days a week if asked.
What is your biggest accomplishment at VEGA?
Being a part of the Skyline Lunch Club. It is a privilege and an honor and delicious.
What kind of impact do you feel you are making at VEGA?
I know that my opinions are being valued and taken into consideration at VEGA. I am preparing to become a better engineer to serve the world.
What is the most challenging part about this internship?
The beginning of any co-op is always the most difficult – finding your way around, developing an understanding of the products, etc. but the people here made it an easy transition and I was able to jump right into being an asset to my team.
What is the last show you binge watched?
The Good Place. I do recommend watching.
What was the last concert you went to?
Atlas Genius with Magic Giant and Half the Animal.
