Differential pressure

Pressure, level, density and flow can be measured using the principle of differential pressure. The differential pressure transmitters measure reliably in liquids, suspensions, gases and vapours.

Differential pressure measurement principle

The sensor diaphragms are deflected by the existing pressures. The filling oil transmits this pressure to a semiconductor measuring bridge. The output signal depending on the differential pressure is measured and further processed.

The advantages

Thanks to the large selection of available measuring ranges and process fittings, differential pressure transmitters are extremely versatile. Their simple setup and adjustment make for high operational reliability during differential pressure measurement.
