Data Protection Policy for Visitor Management VEGA Grieshaber KG

1. General information 
The purpose of this data protection policy statement by VEGA Grieshaber KG, hereinafter referred to as “VEGA”, is to inform you about the processing of personal data collected during your visit.  

“Personal data” in the sense of this policy statement is all information relating to a specific or identifiable natural person, for example your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address.

3. Our data protection officer 

You can reach our data protection officer at datenschutz@vega.com or at the postal address given above, with the addition of “Data Protection Officer”.

4. Purpose of and legal basis for the collection and use of data

(1) VEGA uses your personal data exclusively for the purpose of registering your presence and conducting your visit.

2) VEGA stores in the visitor portal your name, company, purpose of your visit and the names of persons you visit, the date and time of your visit and, if applicable, access authorization data and the data used for meal planning in our company restaurant.

(3) The legal basis for the processing of personal data described above is Article 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f and Article 88 of GDPR as well as Section 26 of BDSG. We have a legitimate interest in the data because it helps us handle your visit efficiently, avoid long waiting periods and know at all times what visitors are in the building. This information is especially important, e.g. in the event of a fire alarm evacuation, when it is necessary to get all people out of the building quickly.

5. Your rights as a data subject

(1) According to the relevant provisions, you have the following rights with regard to your personal data, subject to the respective legal requirements:
  • the right to be informed about the data,
  • the right to correct or delete the data,
  • the right to restrict the use of the data,
  • the right to object to any use of the data,
  • the right to data portability,
  • the right to revoke any consent given for the future.

You will not incur any costs for exercising these rights.

(2) You can contact the competent data protection supervisory authority with any complaints regarding the processing of your personal data.

6. Revocation of consents granted and objection to data processing

(1) If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke this consent at any time with future effect.

(2) Insofar as VEGA bases the processing of your personal data on a balance of interests prescribed by law (e.g. Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f GDPR), you can object to the processing of your personal data.

(3) You can make your objection known by sending an e-mail to info.de@vega.com or by sending a message to any of the contacts given in our imprint. Please specify what you object to in terms of processing.

7. Processing duration 
VEGA deletes the data after storage is no longer necessary for the stated processing purpose, provided that no legal storage obligations oppose deletion or the data is not required for the prosecution of or defence against legal claims or for the fulfilment of legal obligations.

8. Automated decision making
Automated decision-making, including profiling, does not take place.
