VEGA UK: 3 Peaks Challenge - they did it!

On the weekend of 10-12th August nine members of VEGA Controls took part in the 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.
In the course of this event they managed to reach the top of three of the highest mountains of Great Britain.

On the first day of the hike they accomplished to reach the top of Ben Nevis. With a total height of 1 345 meters he is the highest mountain in Scotland.
The goal of the second day was to get to the top of Scafell Pike which is the highest mountain in England with a height amounting to  978 meters.
On the last day they finished the event by reaching the peak of Wales' highest mountain Mount Snowdon with a height of 1085 meters.

After those three days our team members felt very tired but also very happy about their achievement.
Even the bad weather on the last day couldn't dampen their spirits about their accomplishment.

They not only managed to hike up all three mountains but they also surpassed their fundraising goal of £4,500 in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support charity.
