What brought you to VEGA?
What are your daily tasks at VEGA?
Completing engineering change notices (ECNs) and working with a team of engineers to a design a new product line. Other daily tasks include 3-D modeling in CREO, updating drawings, designing, prototyping and testing parts, and brainstorming new ideas.
Are you working on any special projects?
My current project is designing a new product line. My previous projects include designing a hinge adapter for radiometric source holder carrier rods and designing a 5 pt. source carrier assembly using compression-fitting connections for a customer-specific project.
What is your biggest accomplishment at VEGA?
Designing the source carrier assembly for the customer-specific project.
What is your favorite class?
Machine Design because it took what I had learned in previous classes such as Statics, Kinematics and Kinetics, and Solid mechanics, and applied them to Machine Design.
What about this internship challenges you the most?
Managing multiple projects and tasks at once.
