On 1 March 2016 VEGA invited editors and representatives of the trade press from Germany, Austria and Switzerland to a press conference at the headquarters of the family-run enterprise in Schiltach. In the course of the event, the new radar level sensor for liquids, VEGAPULS 64, and the next generation of the universal display and adjustment module PLICSCOM with Bluetooth technology were presented to the eager audience.

With this new instrument, measurement is much easier and more reliable, even under difficult conditions, like in tanks with heating spirals or agitators. The smallest antenna of VEGAPULS 64 is no larger than a 1-euro coin. This makes the new instrument ideal for installation in small vessels.

With the new Bluetooth feature of PLICSCOM, all process sensors of the plics® instrument platform can be easily, conveniently and safely operated from a distance via app.

A tour of the company rounded off the program and was greatly appreciated by all participants.
