VEGA Controls SA exhibited at the “Cape Industries Showcase” which was held at the CTICC in Cape Town from the 6th to 8th of September 2016. Visitors were afforded demonstrations of the new VEGAPULS 64 radar level sensor for liquids.
VEGAPULS 64 is the first radar level sensor for liquids that operates at a frequency of 80 GHz with an 80mm antenna (the smallest of its kind). This results in superior focusing of the radar beam (only 3° beam angle), enabling even media with poor reflective properties like liquid gases and pure solvents to be measured, easily and accurately.
Foam, turbulent product surfaces, condensation or build up on the antenna are also no problem – VEGAPULS 64 measures more reliably due to its greater measurement certainty. It has an accuracy of +/-2 mm, even with a measuring range of 30 m.
The VEGAPULS 64 delivers exact measuring results independent of process conditions. Users are guaranteed high plant availability as the instrument is wear and maintenance-free through the utilization of non-contact measuring.
End users from a wide variety of industries in the Western Cape were extremely impressed by the small and mighty VEGAPULS 64.
