Field Sales Engineer
South-West England / Wales - Postcodes: OX, GL, SN, WR, HR, NP, LD, CF, SA, BS, BA, TA, EX, PL, TQ and TR
- To maintain existing levels of business and increase sales to agreed target levels, within your own defined geographical area.
- This is a field based customer facing role requiring extensive travel throughout your sales area
- To become knowledgeable about both VEGA and competitors’ products.
- To make best possible use of enquiries, time and all other company resources to maximise your sales efficiency.
- To become knowledgeable about customers’ needs in terms of application and appropriate advice
- Engineering practices, as well as having a fundamental understanding of our own relevant Quality Procedures.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Background in engineering/electrical related industry.
- Ideally with a recognised associated technical/engineering qualification.
- Understand the sales procedure and apply this when selling to customers.
- Plan to make best use of available time and resources to meet agreed targets.
- Be self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
- Understand the customer's processes and identify the need for VEGA products.
- Communicate with the team to ensure that team goals are achieved.
- Communicate with Management and ensure that the required information is reported.
- Accurately record and store information relating to the area activities.
- Confident in using our bespoke CRM system for analysis and targeting of customers
- Clean driving licence required
- To be able to work to the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2015
