The decision to use
VEGABAR 28 was no coincidence. This pressure transmitter offers the combination of state-of-the-art pressure measurement technology and
user-friendly operation, making it ideal for use in sewer networks.
A key advantage for Wessex was the ease with which the instrument was put into operation: Setting up and commissioning
VEGABAR 28 takes only two minutes on average. Thanks to the transmitters' integrated simulation mode, different configurations can be tested on-site, eliminating the need for lengthy installation procedures. This not only saves time – it also minimises downtime and makes the technicians’ work easier.
The robustness of its design is a crucial factor in damp pumping stations. With its
IP68 protection rating,
VEGABAR 28 can withstand
flooding and even
complete submersion – a feature that other sensors were unable to offer in the past. Its durable, robust
ceramic measuring cell ensures accurate data is delivered over many years, reducing maintenance requirements and lowering the total cost of ownership (TCO).
A high measurement frequency – 166 measurements per second (every six milliseconds) – enables the monitoring of transient hydraulic effects and the detection of even the smallest pressure changes. This is especially important for ensuring that leaks are detected quickly.
