To keep our service sharp, we track performance rigorously. Feedback is collected after every service visit and from a monthly sample of sales visits.

Flow, Level and Control Product of the Year

The VEGAMET 862 offers a smart, compact solution for differential and totalised flow — removing the need for large PLCs and complex infrastructure.

At a Severn Trent Water site, it:

  • Accepted inlet and return flows
  • Calculated net flow (inlet minus return)
  • Logged data and output live values, all without needing to replace existing flowmeters

It’s especially useful where recycled washwater distorts readings — a common challenge now resolved with a single controller.

A simple fix for a widespread issue, with minimal disruption, reduced costs, and strong ongoing performance.

 

Sensor Product of the Year

The VEGAPULS Basic Radar Level Sensor Range is the only radar solution in the UK to carry MCERTS Class 1, WRAS, and ATEX Ex ia certifications — enabling use across:

  • Potable water treatment
  • Wastewater and EDM sites
  • Hazardous or chemical zones

Industry Personality of the Year: Mark McPhail (Senior Sales Engineer, North Scotland)

Mark brings a unique blend of technical expertise and charisma that’s hard to miss. With over 25 years in the field, including 16 years with VEGA, he’s built strong relationships, across a range of industries—earning not just new business, but real respect and trust from colleagues, customers and peers alike.

He’s a standout engineer who consistently goes above and beyond—supporting customers across northern Scotland with deep technical insight and a strong work ethic, earning him the trust of operators and engineers in some of the UK’s most demanding industrial environments. He leads by example, with a clear focus on outcomes, service, and building trust.

Mark’s impact goes well beyond day-to-day sales. From hands-on site work and problem-solving to formal presentations and mentoring, he brings clarity, confidence, and energy to every setting.

What truly sets Mark apart is his dedication beyond the day job — regularly giving up evenings to support his local Instrumentation & Measurement Community (IMC) chapter, offering his time, expertise, and mentoring to others. Mark leads by example, showing true professionalism and passion for advancing both customer outcomes and the wider industry.
