New investment doubles production capacity, creates jobs, and strengthens Mason, Ohio’s role in advanced manufacturing

VEGA Americas, Inc. Expands Production Facility with New 120,000 sq. ft. Expansion

MASON, Ohio (October 3, 2025) – VEGA, a global leader in level and pressure measurement technology for the processing industry, will celebrate the grand opening of a 120,000-square-foot expansion to its U.S. headquarters in Mason, Ohio on October 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM. The addition doubles the size of VEGA’s advanced production facility and represents a significant economic investment. The project will initially add 31 new full-time jobs, with additional positions to be added as production increases.

The expansion enables VEGA to domestically produce electronic components that were previously imported from the company’s global headquarters in Schiltach, Germany. This move strengthens the company’s U.S. supply chain while reducing overseas shipping and advancing VEGA’s corporate objective of becoming carbon neutral by 2033.

“This expansion is a strategic step toward our long-term vision,” said John Groom, President and CEO of VEGA Americas. “Our goal is to manufacture 85% of our total product portfolio within two manufacturing days by 2027. This target isn’t just about speed, it’s about responsiveness, sustainability, and giving our domestic customers what they need, when they need it.”

The Mason expansion will also enhance production security. “If a disruption were to occur in Germany, it could impact shipments of our electronics supply from Schiltach,” said Ron Foltz, Vice President of Manufacturing. “By establishing domestic production of components here in Ohio, we’re mitigating that risk while working with our colleagues in Germany to optimize our global production strategy.”

“By producing our own electronics domestically, we strengthen our supply chain, support sustainability, and get products into customers’ hands faster,” said Scott Rollman, Vice President of Administration. “This approach positions us for future growth by increasing domestic sourcing so we can deliver on our reputation for rapid, customer-driven solutions.”

VEGA serves a broad range of industry sectors including chemical, pharmaceutical, food, drinking water, power generation, marine and aerospace, mirroring the diverse landscape of the City of Mason and Ohio. The City developed the 1,100-acre Mason R&D Park to both attract and scale companies that advance technology and research. VEGA’s U.S. headquarters anchors the development and is a model to shape the park’s identity for sustainability, scalability and community connectivity. The project was completed with support from the City of Mason, REDI Cincinnati, and a $75,000 JobsOhio Grant.

“VEGA Americas has long been a valued part of Ohio’s advanced manufacturing landscape, combining precision technology with a strong commitment to sustainability and community,” said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “This major expansion is boosting VEGA’s production, adding 31 new jobs and strengthening its domestic supply chain, further cementing Southwest Ohio’s reputation as a hub for innovation and manufacturing excellence.”

“VEGA Americas’ expansion underscores that the Cincinnati region is a proven ground for success, where more than 450 global companies from 40 countries have chosen to establish roots and grow,” said Kimm Lauterbach, president and CEO of REDI Cincinnati. “This investment not only creates new jobs, it strengthens the region’s advanced manufacturing sector and reflects the confidence companies have in our skilled workforce.”

“The City intentionally planned and designed the Mason R&D Park to attract and grow best in class technology companies that contribute meaningfully to both innovation and community,” said Michele Blair, City of Mason Economic Development Director. “VEGA truly exemplifies this vision with excellence, and the City of Mason looks forward to a future of mutual wins”.

“This growth shows our dedication to being closer to our customers,” Groom said. “By expanding our regional footprint, we’re improving how we serve our customers while provide the VEGA experience: local presence, responsive support, and trusted expertise.”
