A place of learning with a view of the Black Forest: Grieshaber Group opens Allgeirhof Training Center

Learning in a unique atmosphere: The spacious seminar room combines modern facilities with an environment that fosters the transfer of knowledge and discussion.

Schiltach/Wolfach. The Grieshaber Group has officially opened the Allgeirhof Training Center. After extensive renovation, a traditional Black Forest farmhouse was transformed into a unique venue for the exchange of knowledge and face-to-face contact. For the sister companies VEGA, Grieshaber Precision and Supfina, this project is an investment not only in modern professional development, but also in the Black Forest as a long-term location.

Tradition and future
Spanning some 1,750 square metres, Allgeirhof combines historic architecture with state-of-the-art technology. The characteristic Black Forest farmhouse façade was immaculately preserved, whilst the interior of the building underwent a complete restructuring. Classrooms for practical and theoretical training enable highly specialised instruction; the installed state-of-the-art media technology supports hybrid training formats.

Allgeirhof embodies the blend of tradition and innovation. With this special venue, we’re making a long-term investment in knowledge, continuing education and the advancement of our employees and customers. We’ve created a place where people feel at ease, enjoy learning, engage in conversation with one another and develop new ideas,” says managing partner Isabel Grieshaber.

Realised in collaboration with regional partners
From the initial concept to completion, the project was a joint effort involving many stakeholders. Numerous regional contractors and specialist planners were involved in the refurbishment and extension of the facility. The construction work took 19 months.

The connectedness to the region is evident throughout the entire concept: from the thoughtful, measured renovation of the Black Forest farmhouse to the collaboration with regional partners to the design of the rooms, which incorporate names and imagery from the local area.

Learning becomes a hands-on experience
The technical centrepiece is the large training facility designed for instruction in measurement technology. At this industry-oriented facility, participants can practise using measuring instruments on realistic measurement tasks.

The concept includes a spacious reception area, a bistro and a terrace overlooking the natural surroundings, as well as the “Schauinsland” hall, which measures around 192 square metres and offers space for larger conferences and events.

Designed and built with sustainability in mind
Sustainability played a key role in the planning process. Energy is supplied via geothermal and photovoltaic systems. The in-roof PV system blends seamlessly into the overall design. The surrounding natural environment is deliberately integrated into the training experience.

With the Allgeirhof Training Centre, VEGA, Grieshaber Precision and Supfina have created a place where innovation and a sense of local identity come together, demonstrating their long-term commitment to the Black Forest location.
